Master Elements - What are they and How to use?
Master elements in Perfect Doc Studio are pre-designed elements that can be used as building blocks for creating custom templates for various types of communications, including documents and emails. These elements are provided out of the box to help users quickly and easily design professional-looking communications without requiring extensive design skills or experience.
Accessing and Using Master Elements in Perfect Doc Studio
1. Open the left panel of the Perfect Doc Studio platform.
2. Add a Creative Block, Header, Footer, or Repeated Block to your design.
3. Once added, a side menu appears on the left side of the design area with two sections: Master Elements and Uploads.
4. Click on the Master Elements tab.
5. Browse the list or use the search bar to find specific elements.
6. Available Master Elements include: Shapes, Lines, Barcodes, Tables, Form elements.
7. Drag and drop any Master Element onto your document or email template to use it.
LINES
The Line master element in Perfect Doc Studio enables users to add a line to their documents. After dragging and dropping the line, users can easily adjust its weight by selecting options in the top bar.
Additionally, users can choose different line styles such as dotted or other variations by clicking on the options available in the top bar.
SHAPES
The Shapes master element in Perfect Doc Studio enables users to incorporate basic shapes like squares, rectangles, circles, and rounded rectangles into their document and email designs. Users can modify the color, size, and configuration of the shapes that are added to the templates. To include a shape, users can simply look up "rect" or "square" in the search bar located in the left-hand elements panel under the master tab.
After a shape is included in the template, it's possible to modify its color, border radius, and border width, as displayed in the example below.
BARCODES
To generate dynamic barcodes in document templates, simply drag and drop the barcode master element from the master elements section, as demonstrated in the image below.
The system supports a variety of barcode types, including Aztec, QR code, Barcodepdf 417, and DataMatrix and Code 39.
To generate dynamic barcodes, simply select the desired barcode type from the master elements section and drag and drop it onto the document template. Toggle the "Switch to Variable" button, then choose a variable from the drop-down menu located above the barcode element, as illustrated in the image below. The variable value supplied during document generation can be used to automatically generate custom barcodes.
